preventative care appointment

“Our focus is on your health and our motto – prevention is key”

What to expect: 30 – 45min appointment.

The World Health Organisation has reiterated the importance of Oral Health and its quality on life. We strive to help get you to that stable state where your mouth is free of infection and decay making it so much more affordable! Regular six monthly dental appointments assist with screening and prevention of disease.

oral cancer screening

“Early Detection is the key to living a long and healthy life”

Oral Cancer is the seventh most common cancer in Australia with dentists being one of the main health practitioners to detect. While it is a scary thought, early detection can lead to positive long-term results. As part of our initial appointment and your ongoing preventative appointments, we will screen your soft tissue (Lips, Cheeks, Tongue) for any signs of oral cancer. It’s not just your teeth we care about, it’s about you living a long and healthy life.

halitosis treatment

“Halitosis – or more simply bad breath isn’t pleasant for anyone”

We have many patients asking us about how to rid bad breath. It can simply be caused by poor oral hygiene. However, in some cases gum disease, dental decay or even underlying medical conditions can affect your breath. At Annandale Dental, we can help you with preventative tips and tricks to alleviate that bad breath…

TMJ therapy

“An aching jaw, headaches or a sore neck – your TMJ could be the culprit”

What to expect: 2 appointments

Sydney life can be fast paced and stressful! The TMJ (Temporomandibular joint) aka. Jaw joint can be a leading cause of ongoing pain and headaches. An increase in stress can in turn, cause tightness in the surrounding muscles of the jaw joint. It’s okay though, we can help you alleviate the pain by making you an occlusal splint to buffer that clenching. We can also assist with muscle exercises to help you out.

deep cleaning and scaling

“Bleeding gums, bad breath – it’s probably time for that deep clean”

It’s potentially been a few years since your last dental appointment and you notice bleeding and sore gums when you brush, maybe even teeth moving. If this is the case then you may require a deeper clean to remove hard and soft plaque from under your gums that are leading to gum disease. Your gums will appreciate this!
