About Us

Dr Keith Hammond

Dr Keith Hammond has been the Principal of Annandale Dental since 1998.  Since 1909, there have only ever been four dentists operating from the same rooms in the gorgeous old period building known as Goodman’s Building’s.

Keith obtained Bachelor of Science (Hons) from Bristol University in 1970, and then via Marine Engineering and Administration with the National Health Service, to a Bachelor of Dental Surgery at University College, London in 1982.

His first appointment after arriving in Australia was as Dental Officer for Westmead Hospital, Parramatta 1982 – 1985.  Then he worked in and around Sydney – at Station Square, Macquarie Street and Paddington, until working for six years as Endodontist at the Government Employees Health Fund (located in the Haymarket).

It was around this time that Keith had an epiphany, deciding never to use amalgam again!  With this in mind, he became a founding member of the Australasian Society of Oral Medicine and Toxicology.

Keith’s interests apart from Endodontics (root canal treatment) and Oral Surgery (extractions) also includes his passion for composite resin for direct veneers, build ups and the restoration of worn dentition.
