If it’s your first time at Annandale Dental then we’re so glad to meet you! Our aim during your initial appointment is to comprehensively examine all aspects of your teeth, gums, soft tissues and jaw. It’s important for us to have a detailed understanding of your mouth to ensure we can treat you accordingly. Your appointment will include a thorough dental exam, cancer screening, x-rays, scale and polish, stain removal, intraoral photographs and fluoride. All fundamental in ensuring your mouth is in a stable and healthy condition.

The Australian Dental Association suggests bringing your child in for their first dental appointment at 12 months old to begin familiarising themselves with the dentist. It’s our aim at Annandale Dental to educate young children at an age where we can assist with great oral hygiene throughout life. We can also aid in preventative treatments for improved health as well as monitor development as your child grows up.

What to expect: 2 appointments

The last thing you want is to be winning the game when you cop a knock to the face and your tooth chips or even worse – pops out! It’s okay though, all you need is a custom-made mouthguard to protect those pearly whites from trauma often caused by high-impact sports. It’s as simple as a mould of your teeth, some detailed work behind the scenes and presto we’ve made your custom mouthguard that will ensure you keep your teeth safe and sound.

At Annandale Dental we understand that a dental emergency is the last thing anyone would want, and is usually at the most inconvenient time! It’s our promise to try and help you where we can, to relieve you of pain. If you have had any type of dental trauma it’s very important that that you give us a call as soon as possible. We’ll need to assess your teeth and advise you on the best method of treatment.
